Firstly let me begin by saying that, according to experts , very few dogs are aggressive by their definition. Dr. Helmut Raiser the expert in the field of working dogs and President of the RSV2000 club , in his interview , pointed two problems lacking in GSD and most working breeds ( except for malinois ) , one is health , which is Hip dysplasia and other is Aggression .
By aggression , he did not mean social aggression , but defensive aggression with staying power. Desired defensive aggression comes in two types described loosely,
1) Active defense.
